Buy Amazon Gift Cards to Use Up that Prepaid Debit Card Balance

Amazon gift card balance limit

Gift cards are great for flexible spending, but some prepaid debit cards can be problematic to use. If you want to transfer the balance to something more usable, order an Amazon gift card with a custom amount.

Prepaid debit cards are easily among the most flexible gift card options around. Unfortunately, some of them have expiration dates. Additionally, some stores don't allow you to split payments to allow you to use that remaining 77 cents towards buying a TV. In cases like this, The Consumerist suggests ordering an Amazon gift card for a custom amount .

The obvious advantage here is that when you apply an Amazon gift card to your account, the balance never expires. Additionally, Amazon will automatically deduct your gift card balance from an order and simply request payment for the rest. Not a bad way to handle all those gift cards with a small remaining balance on them.
